Styling Tips
Choosing outfits for your session does not have to feel overwhelming. The goal is not to match perfectly, it is to create a look that feels cohesive, comfortable, and true to you.
Start with neutrals and soft tones
Creams, beiges, soft blues, muted greens, warm browns, and other earthy tones tend to photograph beautifully. These colors keep the focus on connection and work especially well with natural outdoor settings.
Avoid anything too bold or busy
Large logos, neon colors, and heavy patterns can pull attention away from the moments we are capturing. Simple, classic pieces tend to photograph best.
Coordinate, do not match
Instead of putting everyone in the exact same color, choose a palette that complements each other. Mixing tones and textures creates a more natural, timeless look.
Keep the location in mind
Your outfits should complement the setting rather than compete with it. Soft, natural colors pair beautifully with open fields, mountain views, and the warm tones often found in Colorado landscapes.
Prioritize comfort
If you feel good in what you are wearing, it will show in your photos. Choose pieces that allow you to move easily, sit comfortably, and interact naturally.
Do not stress about perfection
The most meaningful images come from genuine connection, not perfectly styled outfits. Use these ideas as a guide, then choose pieces that feel most like you.
Still not sure what to wear? I’ve got you.
I’m always happy to help you put together outfits that feel effortless and photograph beautifully.
